Carla is one glowy pregnant lady. She looked so beautiful as we took photos. There was a good amount of “model wind” but we used it to our advantage.
She has since had that her cute kiddo and let me tell you what, she is adorable, just like her siblings. I am so happy that I was able to take more photos of the sweet Woods family. I love being able to see families grow and grow up. Such a great part of what I do.
I love this last shot. I couldn’t help but giggle at their cuteness.
There is something about every family that I discover during the photo shoot. The Wankier Family has great smiles and flawless skin! hahaha! But seriously, with every photo I was editing I realized that they are a pretty good looking family.
It was a pretty windy day, but we decided it was really model hair wind. We worked our way through a lot of terrain and every one worked the camera like a champ! I absolutely loooooved taking their pictures. They were up for anything and looked gorgeous while doing it. They were a dream to work with.

This photo shoot was years in the making…literally!
I shot Nicole’s sister’s family a few years ago. It’s an unforgettable photo shoot, that you can check out here and here on my old blog. Nicole and I spent some time going back and forth over the years trying to find the right date and time and location for this photo shoot. She met Shawn three years ago, the sparks flew and have dated since. Nicole has become a part of this family of four and get a long great together. It’s a pea pod made for 5! (:
When we finally were able to get all our ducks in a row, we were pretty excited to shoot the pictures at the Neon Boneyard. I was a tad nervous for the time as we were shooting when the sun is the highest in the sky and it is extra bright, but I loved how the sun gave us some amazing natural reflections.

I have known Jana for a few years now. She is classy. She is fun aaaaand she is a catch. I was so excited for her when she got engaged.
Jana met Reed through a friend. They were set up on a blind date…which can be debated…can any date be blind any more now that we have the internet, and more so, Facebook? I think not. (; So Reed and Jana had a date, and then another, and then another. When I was talking to the two of them about how they met and how they became engaged, I was able to see how well they fit together.
One of my favorite things to see, as a wedding photographer, is the interaction between couples. Reed is funny, but he really can make Jana laugh. And what I like most about how he makes her laugh, a lot of the time, he is whispering it in her ear, or just so that she can hear it. He is always looking at her. Sometimes I am sure I can see his thoughts. I can tell by the way he looks at her of how lucky he feels that Jana is his.
One of my favorite things about Jana, she loves yellow. One of her wedding colors of course is yellow, which I am super excited about.
We took pictures on one of THE MOST humid days in Las Vegas this year. Though it was nice to not have an extremely hot sun on your neck, it was a kind of hot I am not a fan of. Humidity doesn’t get less humid in shade. You can’t hide from it. But Reed and Jana were troopers and we made it through a sticky day and ended with a beautiful hint of sun on our last shot.
